Pesma Antonie Bruhe (Antonia Bruja) u Mathauzenu

Poema Antonie Bruhe

Slowly the heavy hours trop into the empty well of eternity.

Daily you ask yourself when have I bettered, daily you are waiting for a new time to come.

The sun draws shade in the cell from the grid that constricts your mind.

Is there anything worse than the waiting when everything in you urges for life?!

Is there anything worse than the waiting when everything in you urges for life.

(Melody hummed.)

Sometimes you stare on the heavy doors and then you feel indescribable anxious.

It is as if you could hear the chains chink with whom your life and sole is trembled.

You think you cannot lose anything but you can win a lot.

You have to deflect every punch in life when you don’t want to live as a slave.

You have to deflect every punch in life when you don’t want to live as a slave.

(Melody hummed.) …

You have to resist (singing in English).

You have to deflect every punch in life when you don’t want to live as a slave.
